Frazier’s on the Avenue

Overview

Frazier’s on the Avenue, a beloved Baltimore institution (neighborhood bar) since 1939, approached the project looking for a logo that blended nostalgia with local character. Featuring Mr. Boh from National Bohemian beer and inspired by speakeasy and prohibition-era aesthetics, the design aimed to celebrate the bar’s rich history and neighborhood roots.

Inspiration Behind the Design

Inspiration draws on Baltimore’s prohibition-era character: dockside warehouses, back-room speakeasies, and Hampden’s no-frills bar culture. That spirit is translated into a modern, welcoming identity. Art Deco geometry, aged paper grain, and oak add a lived-in warmth.
